Eons ago, meteorites fell to earth carrying within them the world’s supply of platinum. The rarest, densest, strongest and most precious metal, platinum is thirty times more rare than gold.

Platinum Born, a fine and fashion jewelry line made exclusively of platinum, came to market in 2018.

Last year we were brought in to breathe new life into the company with a complete brand overhaul. We started with the foundational work of identifying our audiences, crafting a new set of brand values, positioning statement and brand purpose. This seminal work allowed for a shared vision with internal management, offering creative guardrails for the next phase of graphic work.

After the work of branding clarification was complete, we began the visual rebranding process. Crafting a dynamic new logo, we chose to feature a PB signifier, encircled. We chose a cooler toned color palette and contemporary typefaces to complement the new look.

Brand Guidelines

We compiled all of the  graphic work into a comprehensive set of brand guidelines to be shared with internal teams and external partners.

Much of the positioning work we did focuses on the celestial origins of Platinum. For our hero brand imagery we decided on a two-day photoshoot in the otherworldly Utah salt flats. We had the perfect location; finding luxurious, flowing metallic garments to round out the concept proved difficult. We sourced bolts of fabric, hired a seamstress and designed custom dresses that were custom  tailored on set.

The photoshoot set a new tone for the brand, fueling yearly content requirements for advertising, trade and social media channels. Launching at the Couture Jewelry show in Las Vegas, business was robust and many new retail doors decided to carry the brand. The imagery became the backdrop for a new e-commerce website that sustained a large increase in traffic and sales.

Staying on with the brand bringing continued support, we are designing paid media, print campaigns and OOH advertising. Additionally we manage the Co-Op advertising kits for the retail partners as well as the lookbook

The result of our creative direction and design work: an out-of-this-world rebrand that's propelled the brand to new heights.
